Androgen Therapy in Adolescents: A Review

چکیده

There are many indications for exogenous Testosterone (T) use in adolescents. Induction of puberty in males with Constitutional Delay of Growth and Puberty (CDGP) and replacement therapy for adolescents with hypogonadism constitutes the most common indications. In this mini-review the authors go through the physiologic role of androgen, pathological conditions that require its use and review some guidelines for its proper administration to adolescents.
